This is an animated version of a previous apophysis submission [link] It's a bit shorter than my usual animations but I am quite pleased how this turned out
Apo 3D hack + apophymator script ([link]), virtual dub to assemble the frames to a video file.
@01:05First of all you need the apophymator script [link] then it's a matter of creating "keyframes" - these are the frames that the script is going to morph. I should note that you must have the same number of transforms in each keyframe so if your first flame has 5 transforms, then all of them must. Also some values don't morph (like Julia power variables) so it's best to avoid changing those or your animation will jump/pop. Um, there's just too much for me to cover, there's a brief tutorial at the link I posted above. Apophymator does NOT make the final output video, you will need software to assemble the rendered frames into a video file (I use VirtualDub, it's free - google it) as well as the appropriate video codecs (xvid, divx, h.264/x.264 are the most used).
Oh, you're going to need a LOT of time as it takes forever and a day to render.
@01:05Thank you so much for this elaborate answer. It does not sound easy as I am not a very technical person. But I will keep the explanation and when I have a lot of time I will give it a try...
@01:05Very cool! Its like one of those underwater creatures from the Abis... An occaisional wave of color flashing thru would be really cool like those flourescent deep water critters
Amazing
